Eschenbach Optik of America to represent Ocutech’s New VES Falcon Autofocus Bioptic for the Visually Impaired in Canada
Ocutech, Inc., the developer of state-of-the-art bioptic telescopes for the visually impaired, announces the introduction of its new VES Falcon Autofocus Bioptic Telescope to be represented in Canada by Eschenbach Optik. The Falcon is the next generation of the world’s only autofocusing bioptic telescope for the visually impaired.
The Falcon’s advanced technology provides low vision patients with the most natural, hands-free magnified vision possible. Wearers will be able to see clearly and effortlessly, allowing them to engage in normal day-to-day activities such as seeing friends and family, seeing at work or school, participating in social settings, using the computer, and even driving where permitted. It is ideal for individuals with central vision loss of 20/200 or better visual acuity.
The crisp, bright, high-contrast wide-field 4x Keplerian optics provide a 12.5-degree field of view, and a focusing range as close as 13 inches. With its separate rechargeable battery the Falcon conveniently operates for eight hours on a single charge, is easy for low vision specialists to prescribe, and comfortable to wear, weighing just 3.2 ounces.
Eschenbach Optik of America, Inc. is Ocutech’s exclusive representative in the Canadian provinces. Ocutech’s co-founder and President, Henry Greene, OD, FAAO, says “Eschenbach is known internationally for its high-quality magnification systems, well trained and experienced sales force, and innovative practitioner support and educational initiatives.
